Not one, but two! | Thursday, May 20, 2004 |
I had an 11:30 appointment with Dr. Nancy Kline to get an ultrasound. Michael and I had a fun time playing around in the waiting room. They were running 15 minutes behind schedule. Finally, my name was called and we went in. I was so nervous! Dr. Kline was really nice and whenever she put the wand in, I immediately saw two globs. My first reaction was “uh oh”. There were two sacs! We were so pleasantly surprised and it was so overwhelming. They both had really strong heartbeats, I think one was 144 and the other was 130. It’s a really good sign. Baby A measured 7 weeks 4 days and baby B measured 7 weeks. It was so cool to see both of their little hearts fluttering. Michael was almost going to miss this appointment since he scheduled for a teeth cleaning. I told him that I really wanted him to be there. Boy, we were just blown away. The more we thought about it, the happier we were that we’re going to have twins. The only sad part is that I won’t get to birth at home with a midwife which is what I was so looking forward to. We couldn’t stop talking about it all day!
