Hyndman Peak

Friends: Only God!
Location: Hyndman Peak
Elevation gain: 1500m = 1500m

Hyndman would be the last of the 12ers I needed to climb in Idaho. I took the Free Solo out to camp in a campground nearby with some excellent burgers. In the morning I started up, making the long approach to a high lake where I rested.

On the summit ridge, I enjoyed an amazing view of the East Face and continued scrambling. It was a beautiful day. I only saw people on the way down, a couple of guys from Idaho Falls.

The hike out was long! But it was a great day. I stayed another night, and drove home the next morning. Then off to the City of Rocks!

5000 feet up and down, 13 miles round trip.

Gorgeous fall colors
